I
have always
thought of
myself as an
artist. The
creative
urge has
been with me
since I was
a child.
Through the
years,
crayons were
replaced
with more
advanced
forms of
self
expression.
Making art
has been my
way of
communicating
observations
of the world
around me
since I can
remember.
Contributors
have been,
my family,
politics,
religion,
music and
the art
world in
general.
I've touched
the
on-looker
and
communicated
something
about who I
am if my
work evokes
some sort of
emotion and
gets people
talking, I
feel I've
done my job
as an
artist.
My work
currently
focuses on
glass
paintings. I
feel this
medium is
not only
beautiful
when
displayed,
but allows
the observer
to view art
in a more
untraditional
manner. My
subject
matter
conveys a
dark tone,
with an
underlying
sense of
hope and
faith. The
function, in
part, to
counter the
prevailing
images
forced upon
us by the
media and
the
entertainment
industry. I
am
influenced
by many
contemporary
and
classical
artists, but
being self
taught, I
have not
adopted any
one
particular
style. My
mission is
to convey a
story with
every figure
I paint,
what the
story is I
hope changes
with each
individual
observer. |
