Ted Matthews, a
Dallas native, spent the most formative years
of his youth living and traveling in Africa and
Europe. His adventurous parents saw to it that
he was exposed to
all the great art, architecture, history and
cultures of the world. During this period
was when his passion for the arts manifested itself.
After returning to the U.S., Matthews began a
career in
commercial & graphic design. Though challenging and
rewarding, he longed to break free
from commercialism and into the realm of
creativity and self expression. After the
realization that anything is possible, Matthews
began to follow his passion and live the life he
only imagined as a youth. Determined to help artists and live his dream,
Matthews created and
established Artisan’s Collective to provide
local artists an inspiring environment in which
to share their work, passion and ideas.
Matthews has experimented and worked with many art
forms. Currently he focuses on painting and
sculpting using a variety of mediums and styles. |
