I
was born in
the chateau
country of
the Loire
Valley in
France,
(where Joan
of Arc
recognized
the Dauphin,
where
Leonardo da
Vinci lived
out his
final years
and where
Renaissance
princes were
the patrons
of poets,
painters and
sculptors).
I moved to
the United
States at a
young age
and have
lived most
of my life
in Texas. I
have always
had a
special love
for art. My
interest in
ceramics was
ignited
approximately
three years
ago when I
accompanied
my
mother-in-law
to a ceramic
shop.
I spent hour
upon hour
browsing and
admiring the
fine pieces
on display.
The shop
owner took
note of my
interest and
enthusiasm
and took me
under her
wing. My
mentor and
friend
explained
every facet
of the
ceramic
process:
casting,
cleaning,
painting,
glazing and
firing. I
started out
making a few
pieces as
gifts for my
family, then
friends and
acquaintances
began to ask
for custom
made
pieces....
Every piece
I make is
made with
love for the
art.
