Shape the world around you.
An answer to What is Art?
An answer to What is Life?
An answer to What Do I Do Today?
Rare is it to experience
the reciprocity of creation. Time is undergrowth to our path and we
inevitably lose the ability to recognize creation on our own terms.
Many of my works reflect aspects associated with the loss - and
amplification of - senses. The senses of the unseen and unheard, perhaps
peripherally, are the dark corners I'm drawn to. Though I trust most
what I see and touch, I know that illumination and hearing you speak can
be distrusted, too. Embracing complete darkness, too, can be
illuminating if you trust yourself enough to venture with altered
senses.
Shape the World Around You has replaced my former mantra of "Change is
Remorseless" not that it has somehow become an untruth, but because I'm
learning to capitulate symphonic and algorithmic frequencies of
sensations and experiences (other than hearing) of my reality and build
upon the imagery I receive - free from social distortions. I'm learning
to hear, given that my ears are slowly failing me. I am growing deaf.
